Ram Charan's Chirutha has finally hit the screens after a long wait. Ram Charan has done a reasonably good job in his debut film. However, there is nothing new or novel in the storyline.
Young Charan (Ram Charan) is the son of a auto drive Surya. His father is murdered by the villain Ashish Vidyarthi because he dares to catch him while committing a murder. The villain also stabs Charan's mother. The hero goes to a juvenile home by taking upon himself a crime committed by someone else - in exchange for money to treat his mother.

The hero comes out of jail after 12 years. How he takes revenge on the killer of his father forms the rest of the story. The usual love angle and comedy track are in place to run the film up to the climax.

Ram Charan has put in a lot of effort into his role. His performance is flawless. He is also good in the dancing scenes as well as fights. Heroine Neha Sharma disappoints. She is average both in looks and performance.

Prakash Raj and M.S. Narayana give a good account of themselves. Dharmavarapu is also okay. Ali's comedy raises laughter. The others go about their job in a routine manner.

The music is good but only two songs are foot-tapping. Photography and fighting scenes have been composed well. The movie drags a bit at times. The film however serves its purpose - that of launching the career of Ram Charan.
